Y-Pals is a program that works under the jurisdiction of the
North Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.
Advisory Board
Works under the guidance of an Advisory Board
which is comprised of community volunteers who
give direction and support to the program
Initiates Special Events
Coordinates fun group activities and service projects
Plans fund-raising events
Participates in business expo’s and community events
Collaborates with other youth-serving agencies
Serves Parents Monitors match between mentor and youth
Serves as a community referral source
Initiates evaluation of program
Provides opportunities for family participation
